Empowering communities of widows through collectively owned enterprises that create sustainable income and health coverage for widows and their dependents.
WidCo, the Widows' Cooperative Network, partners with widows to build community-owned enterprises: greenhouses, rice mills, and the like. We provide startup capital, training, health coverage, and peer networks that connect cooperatives across geographies. The model and the goal are to reach a global network of thriving, widow-led mini-corporations, growing and keeping wealth within the communities that created it.
